She has undertaken additional specialised training in Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), including Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) and Rapid Syllable Transition Treatment (ReST), as well as further professional development in the assessment and treatment of speech sound disorders.

Ann is also trained in Orofacial Myology, allowing her to consider the relationship between oral function, breathing, swallowing, speech and orofacial development as part of a broader clinical picture.

Her qualification as a Certified Health Coach further supports her holistic approach to practice, recognising that communication does not occur in isolation and that a person's wellbeing, environment, relationships and everyday experiences can all influence their capacity to participate and thrive.

Ann has extensive experience working with children and families with complex and diverse support needs.

Alongside her clinical work, Ann is an author, combining her professional knowledge with her creative background to develop resources and writing that promote understanding, inclusion and a greater appreciation of individual differences.

At the heart of Ann's practice is the belief that therapy should never be about making a person fit a predetermined mould. Instead, her focus is on understanding each individual's strengths, challenges, communication style and goals, and working collaboratively with families and other professionals to provide meaningful support that translates into everyday life.
